Each MuleRun Page is automatically assigned a random default domain. You can also configure custom domain to meet personalized needs.

Default Domains

When a MuleRun Pages site is deployed, a unique subdomain is automatically provisioned in the format https://[random-string].mule.page. The random-string is an 8-character identifier composed of randomly selected lowercase letters (a–z) and digits (0–9). For different versions of the same page, the default domain remains the same.

Custom Domains

You may also configure a custom domain for a MuleRun Page.
A MuleRun Page can be configured with only one custom domain.

Requirements

To use custom domains, you must:
  • Have a paid MuleRun plan (Plus or Pro)
  • Have access to your domain’s DNS settings

Supported Domain Types

MuleRun Pages custom domains support only apex domains (e.g., example.com) and second-level subdomains (e.g., a.example.com). Subdomains with additional hierarchical levels (e.g., a.b.example.com) are not supported.

Adding a Custom Domain

Step 1: Configure in MuleRun Pages
  • Visit MuleRun Pages
  • Locate the page you want to configure
  • Select Custom Domain
  • Enter your custom domain (e.g., test.example.com)
  • Click Next
Step 2: Add DNS Configuration After you enter the custom domain, you will receive the required CNAME record, for example:
TypeNameValue
CNAMEtestabcdefgh.mule.page
You should then add this CNAME record with your domain’s DNS provider.
When configuring DNS records with providers such as Cloudflare, proxy mode must be disabled.
Step 3: Wait for DNS propagation DNS record changes may take 5 minutes to 48 hours to propagate. Once the propagation is complete, the Page will be accessible via the custom domain.
When DNS records have not yet propagated, you may encounter Cloudflare Error 1014. Please wait a few minutes and refresh the page; once propagation completes, your Pages will become accessible.

SSL/TLS Certificates

MuleRun Pages automatically provisions SSL certificates for both default and custom domains. Certificates are issued during domain setup and are renewed automatically before expiration. All traffic is secured with HTTPS under a universal SSL configuration, with support for protocols including TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3.
